Scope of Work:

Hi-rise medical building was showing signs of water infiltration due to sealant failure and in need of ongoing maintenance. Repairs consisted of new sealants at curtain wall system and sky-lights. All metal to glass and metal to metal joints were replaced. This project was unique because of the difficulty in accessing the areas in order to perform the repairs. The sky-lights were built into the metal roof which was at about a 60 degree pitch and was 12 stories in the air. The repairs were performed off of a built in ladder system that spanned the sky-lights. The curtain wall repairs were performed from a swing stage, but custom tie-backs had to be designed, fabricated and installed on the built in rolling ladder system. |
